News The Brighton gig at the Prince Albert has now been rescheduled for Friday 30th May. All tickets remain valid for this sold out show. News The second single to be taken from Wasp In A Jar will be The Human Race which is released for download on Friday 14th March. Please click this link to access all platforms that it is hosted on… ![]() News The band’s fourth album Wasp In A Jar is now a UK top 50 album. In fact, the UK Official Charts have the album in no less than 5 different charts! The album has secured positions in the Download Chart, the Physical Chart, a top 20 placing in the Independent Chart and even in the Scottish Chart. Most importantly, though, is the number 47 spot in the UK Official Album Chart. ![]() This is a fantastic achievement for a self-financed, Crowdfunded release. We’d like to pass on our thanks to everyone out there that Crowdfunded the project, pre-ordered, downloaded or even purchased the album in an actual record shop. We couldn’t have done it without you…thanks! News We’re pleased (and not a little relieved) to be able to confirm that Michael has been given a clean bill of health and is back to full match fitness for the Manchester and Sheffield gigs this weekend. Some tickets are available for both shows. Last night’s postponed Bristol show at Thunderbolt has now been rearranged for Friday 4th April. All tickets remain valid for this new date. If you are unable to attend, you will receive instructions about how to get a refund from your point of sale. There are a handful of tickets for this gig available. We’ll update you regarding the Brighton show as soon as we can. News Anyone who came to the Brighton show tonight will be aware that Michael was taken ill early in the set. Firstly, and most importantly, Michael was upright, chatting and full of apologies for letting people down before he was taken to hospital for checks. He hasn’t let anyone down of course, but right now our thoughts are with our bandmate, and we’re sure you’ll join us in wishing him the speediest of recoveries. In the meantime, we unfortunately have no choice but to postpone tomorrow’s Bristol gig. We will be rearranging both tonight’s Brighton show and the Bristol show as soon as we possibly can and all tickets purchased for both shows will be valid for the replacement gigs. Nevertheless, we are very aware that people will have made travel bookings and arrangements, and we sincerely apologise for the issues that we know that will cause. We’ll post an update later today. Features Another familiar face at gigs is that of Suzanne, avid fan, t-shirt designer and maker of incredible band-themed decorations. After many months wait (and a huge amount of work behind the scenes), the band’s fourth album is unleashed on the world today. Following a hugely successful Crowdfunder campaign last year, the band recorded the album in the USA in the summer with long term friend & collaborator Michael Giblin behind the controls. The vinyl album features twelve tracks, with a couple more on the CD, every one a catchy classic, all unmistakably The Vapors. ![]() We would like to thank everyone involved in making the dream of a fourth album a reality. Notable mentions must go to the teams at Absolute, Red Chuck Records and Music Glue, anyone who bought a Crowdfunder reward or pre-ordered the album and especially to a particular person, Mike Philpott, that pulled the whole project together from start to finish. Huge thanks to you all. News On Sunday 23rd, the band appeared on BBC Radio London on Gaby Roslin’s show where they were interviewed and even played an acoustic track. You can hear the show here for 30 days on catch up (listen from 1 hour 8 minutes) |
