The band were disappointed to not include a visit to the midlands with the New Clear Days 40th anniversary tour so a gig has now been added for the spring. They are playing at the Robin 2 in Bilston on Thursday 24th of February. Tickets are onsale now here
Last night the band played the final date of the New Clear Days 40th anniversary tour on a packed boat moored in Bristol! From Manchester to Bristol, it has been a brilliant tour with the band on fine form and with great, appreciative audiences every step of the way. Mid way through the tour, Dave was struck down with a chest infection but soldiered on to complete the run like the trooper he is. The set covered the band’s career from Prisoners all the way to the as yet unreleased One Of My Dreams with New Clear Days in full at the core. Support came from the fantastic 79ers who played a great set of ‘79 Mod Revival tunes from their respective bands. If you missed them, go and check them out on their own future dates. They’re top blokes too! Thanks to everyone who came along to a show and see you in the road again soon…
We’re pleased to announce that an extra New Clear Days 40th Anniversary show has been confirmed at Cambridge Junction on Friday 25th February 2022. There’s a full supporting bill including DJ Jacqui Carroll on the decks.
Exactly five years ago today, on the 14th October 2016, the newly reformed band made their first live outing at the Opium Rooms in Dublin. It had been over 35 years since they had gigged together although it certainly didn’t show that night. The audience had travelled from far and wide to witness the reformation and the band didn’t disappoint. Dave, Steve, Ed and Michael treated us to a set packed with classics drawn from the first two albums. Five years down the line, and a third album and numerous more gigs under their belts, the band are still going strong. How apt that they’re playing their hometown of Guildford tonight. See you there!
The band’s postponed 40th anniversary of New Clear Days tour finally kicks off this weekend with gigs in Manchester & Leeds. There are a total of nine gigs around the country including two in Scotland and a hometown show in Guildford. Special guests are the 79ers. The shows with From The Jam at the weekend went well and the band are on fantastic form. Grab your tickets here & see you on the road soon…
